White Bog Orchid (Platanthera dilatata) is one of 33 orchid species native to Colorado. As its name indicates, this plant likes wet, boggy areas and can be found in Colorado’s mountain anywhere between 8,000 and 11,000 feet in elevation. The small but gorgeous snow-white flower is quite fragrant and one is apparently able to smell it long before one sees it.
